Who should enter?

This is for rising stars who have been in the construction industry for 7 years or less and demonstrated excellence in their work, the industry and amongst their peers. Specifically, we encourage those that have made a real difference to the business or projects they have been involved with over the past 12 months.

How to enter?

You can enter an application by filling out the form below before Friday 29 May, using this application form. You can nominate yourself or somebody else that you believe deserves to be recognised for their achievements in the last 12 months, between May 2019 and May 2020. Please see the guidelines below for more information and tips to help you with this process.

The Rising Star Award is free to enter. It costs you nothing, just the time taken to complete your application.

How to Enter

Application Form

 

You may nominate yourself or someone else.

The application form will ask for the nominee’s contact details as well as more information on their professional career, accomplishments and successes.
Additionally, candidates will be asked to demonstrate excellence in the construction industry, provide third-party testimonials and explain what makes them stand out.

Judging Process 

The judges will look for:

 

  • Evidence working in the built environment for a period of less than 7 years
  • Role and career achievements of the candidate
  • How this candidate has made a mark on the employer, industry and their colleagues
  • Why is this candidate different from others in a similar position? What makes them stand out in a business?
  • How this candidate demonstrates excellence in their work, industry, amongst their peers and within society
  • Testimonials – from third parties that have worked with this candidate

The application form

 

The application form consists of three sections: the nominee’s contact information as well as reasoning (up to 500 words) for why they should be nominated and why they should be considered for this award.
