Unique Awards Built environment competitions often overlook the fact that people are the most important aspects of a project. Ours don’t. CMYA is the only event of its kind to assess the pivotal role that construction managers play in bringing teams and stakeholders together, creating safe, efficient, productive and harmonious sites.
Receiving entries Once the deadline for entry has passed, we look carefully at each individual entry. Those that pass our quality standards are entered into the judging stage.
Stringent judging process Our judges all have in-depth experience in the construction industry and many are former medallists from previous years. They examine both the quality of the completed building and how the project manager dealt with the unique challenges of this location.
An in-depth interview completes the judging process, marking each project against a broad range of criteria.
Finalists and winners of CMYA Entrants who pass this stage will become CMYA finalists. Each finalist is in with a chance of winning a silver or gold medal or overall winner, so most finalists will attend the finals event where they’ll find out who will be crowned Construction Manager of the Year. We don’t tell any of our winners in advance!
